  • Monroe

Sweet Monroe was set to be euthanized at a small rural shelter in Colorado when we stepped in to save her. She was our first official rescue, and an absolute sweetheart from the start. This sweet girl found her forever home with a sweet couple who actually met her at a local brewery during one of our team meetings. She was officially adopted at our first adoption event by the same amazing couple, and they have been loving her ever since! Happy Tails Monroe!

  • Emily

This sweet girl came to us with her five other siblings after being on death’s door on the Texas/New Mexico border. After spending some time in her amazing foster home preparing for her forever home she finally made it to the big leagues with her forever family! She is loving her life with some awesome kids to play with, and even got to go to one of our ski towns for her first Colorado adventure! We are so happy for you, Happy Tails Emily!

  • Julie

Sweet Julie (now Basil, named by her adorable human brother) is off to live the good life! This sweet girl came to us from the Texas/New Mexico border with her five other siblings after being on death’s door. She is now off to be so loved and live the good life with her human brother in our beautiful state of Colorado! Happy Tails Basil

  • Ina

Ina came to us from Lubbock, Texas with her seven other sisters. She was originally surrendered in Texas by an owner who wanted nothing to do with them. This sweet girl is now off to live the BEST life as an ONLY fur-baby bound to be showered with treats, snuggles, and all the LOVE! She also gets to spend her time exploring Colorado with her new human. We are so happy for you! Happy Tails Ina!

  • Lilly

Lilly came to us from Lovington, New Mexico that is located just off of the Texas and New Mexico border. Upon arrival she seemed healthy, but unfortunately she had picked up parvo while at the shelter in Texas. We quickly got her to the vet and after some care and TLC this mighty little girl overcame and survived! After her recovery and getting spayed she found her forever home! She and her new human are absolutely head over heels for each other, and we are so happy for them both! Happy Tails Lilly!

  • Roo

Minutes before being set to be euthanized we saved Roo from La Junta Animal Shelter. She came to us skinny as a rail and no clue on how home life worked. After spending time getting Roo healthy, and having her learn more and more each day about being in a loving home she hit the jackpot just in time for Valentine’s Day! This sweet little lady is going to spend her days with a fur sister (who looks almost identical to her) and two incredible humans! Happy Tails Roo!

  • Wiggles

After spending two months in the Fort Morgan Humane Society Wiggles found his home after just a WEEK in our care! This boy came to us after not thriving in the shelter (and no puppy should have to grow up in a shelter) and IMMEDIATELY opened up and started thriving once he entered into one of our amazing foster homes. Wiggles came out to our Pints and Pawlentines event and his people fell completely in love with him. They spent the whole evening with him, and once he met their dog the deal was sealed. He is now surrounded by love with a new name of Pickles! We are so happy for you!

    Happy Tails Pickles!

  • Landon

Sweet Landon was only ONE HOUR away from being euthanized when we saved him and his two other siblings. He came to us from a small town in Oklahoma, and at first it seemed that he had never been in a home before as each noise and thing made him nervous. After spending time in his foster home he learned more and more each day on how to be a dog, and after four months he FINALLY found his forever home. His new humans fell in love with him the first time they saw him, and after they won over their other dogs it sealed the deal. He is now living out his days full of love, and with a new name of Monty. We are so happy for you handsome guy! Happy Tails Monty!

  • Shavano

Shavano came to us from a small shelter in Northern Colorado where he had completely shut down. He spent two months in the shelter completely terrified wondering what his fate would be. Would he be there forever? Would anyone give him a chance at love? After hearing that this handsome boy was struggling, we decided to transfer him to our rescue where he would be in one of our amazing foster homes learning to trust again. Shavano started to make huge strides in his foster home, and even though he was still very shy (especially in new situations) his foster family introduced him to some of their dog loving friends for socialization at a local brewery. This family ended up falling in love with Shavano, and knew they would be a great family for him as they have experience with dogs who need patience and love. Shavano spent time in their home and once their cat approved, Shavano officially had found his forever family. We are so happy for this guy, and know he will be loved. Happy Tails Shavano!

  • Dee

Dee came to us from one of our shelters along the Texas/New Mexico border where her and her five other siblings escaped euthanasia. Dee spent three months in her amazing foster home until her forever family fell in love with her at one of our Petco adoption events. We are so happy they found each other and she is loving life in her new home! Happy Tails Dee!

  • Opal

Sweet little Opal came to us from a very overcrowded shelter in New Mexico. After making her way to Colorado, and getting to play in the snow for the first time she found her forever home! Opal now gets to spend her days with her new momma who spoils her with all the the love and goodies she can get! We are so happy for both of them! Happy Tails Opal!

  • Huey

Sweet Huey made his way to Colorado from a very overcrowded shelter in New Mexico with his two other siblings and learned what life was really about! Huey went from sleeping alone in a shelter where he may have been lucky to get any human contact to being snuggled in his forever home where he is learning how to be the best boy from his new fur brother. We are so happy for you Huey, Happy Tails!

  • Kenai

Sweet Kenai came to us from an overcrowded shelter in New Mexico where he was found as a stray. He made his big break to Colorado and landed in an awesome foster home where he showed how smart and sweet he was every day! It wasn’t long after that this sweet boy was swooped up at one of our Petco events. He is so lucky and has a great family to love! Happy Tails Kenai!

  • Sissy

After escaping a small shelter in Texas where she was waiting to be euthanized Sissy came to us very shy and unsure of everything. She spent almost four months in her foster home learning how to trust, how to love, and how to dog. She made baby steps, but would still need a special person who would continue to let her make those baby steps. She finally found that human, and as you can see is very happy about it. We are happy for you Sissy, Happy Tails!

  • Sr. Snowball

Sr. Snowball came to us as a relinquishment after his previous owners passed away and no one in the family was able to take on his care. At 12 years old we were a little worried about his medical status, and after losing his people how his behavior would be in general. This old dog sure surprised us and truly was a kid at heart who still had many years of love to give. We were beyond excited when these sweet ladies found him at one of our Petco adoption events. Sr. Snowball won over their heart as quick as can be. We are so happy for this sweet family, Happy Tails Sr. Snowball!

  • Humboldt

Humboldt made his way to Colorado from a very busy shelter in New Mexico, and quickly won over the hearts of not only his foster family, every single one of the KCK team, but everyone he met. This big guy had an even bigger heart and couldn’t wait to find his forever home! In true fashion, Humboldt won over the hearts of his new family and got to go to his forever home! Happy Tails Boldt!

  • Oakley

Oakley and her seven sisters made their way to us in December of 2023 from a small shelter in Texas where they could have been euthanized at any moment. Oakley, like her sisters, was a shy girl at first…but after learning that peanut butter cookies were the way to her heart we made big progress. Oakley patiently waited for her forever people to find her, and after waiting four months she finally did! As you can see, she will be quite busy being loved and playing with all the humans in her new home. Happy Tails Oakley!

  • Katurah

Katurah came to us from a small town along the Texas/New Mexico border with her four other siblings and was happy to be in a foster home getting so much love! After spending a couple of months in her foster home Katurah was adopted, but sadly returned to us as she was not the fight fit with her new family energy wise. BUT it wasn’t long after getting returned that Katurah won over the hearts of her true forever family. She is loving life in her new home with all the love she can get! Happy Tails Katurah!

  • Mr. Max

Mr. Max was found living under a shed in rural Texas when he was picked up and taken to a small shelter down there and wondered what would happen to him next. Luckily we saved him and brought him to Karl’s Canine Krew where he learned how to be loved in his foster home. After a couple of days this shy guy warmed up and was ready to find his forever people. It did not take long before a wonderful family scooped him up and called him their own. He now spends most of his days making sure his kiddos are reading him all the stories! Happy Tails Mr. Max.

  • Rockford

Rockford made his way to us from one of our partner shelters in New Mexico that constantly faces overcrowding. After coming to Colorado he quickly made himself at home with his foster family and showed such a sweet side, but also a fun playful side too! Rockford was the perfect mix of snuggles and wiggles and was ready to find his forever home! He didn’t have to look too hard as he won over this sweet couple who had been looking for a dog to add to their family! We are so happy for you all! Happy Tails Rockford!
